Matheus is responsible for investment management activities across Latin America, including origination, acquisitions, and general transaction efforts. He has more than 18 years of experience in the forestry and agribusiness sector. Prior to joining BTG Pactual, Matheus had the same role at TTG Brasil. Prior to this, Matheus was the Business Development Manager at Grupo Orsa in São Paulo, where he was responsible for M&A activities and strategic projects, with a focus on timberland transactions. Matheus has spent several years abroad in the U.S. and the Netherlands in various positions at both Kellogg Co. and H. J. Heinz. Matheus earned a B.S. from Cornell University and M.S. from Wageningen University.
