Matheus is the Head of LatAm Transactions and Investment Management and is responsible for timberland origination, acquisitions and general transaction efforts within TIG. He has more than 12 years of experience in the forestry and agribusiness sector. Prior to joining BTG Pactual, Matheus had the same role at TTG Brasil. Prior to this, Matheus was the Business Development Manager at Grupo Orsa in São Paulo, where he was responsible for M&A activities and strategic projects, with a focus on timberland transactions. Matheus has spent several years abroad in the USA and the Netherlands in various positions at both Kellogg Co. and H. J. Heinz. Matheus earned a BSc from Cornell University and MSc from Wageningen University.
